Lectures

In 2015 I started to give lectures on Street Photography to Camera clubs and other interested groups.  To-date I have now given face to face lectures to clubs in Avon, Berkshire, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Herefordshire, Hertfordshire, Mid Glamorgan, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Staffordshire, Somerset, Warwickshire, Wiltshire, Worcestershire and in London.

Future bookings now take me through for the next 12 months and beyond.

Some feedback from my talks...

Our audience thoroughly enjoyed hearing about your experiences taking all those wonderful images and delighted in the humour of so many of them.  It just goes to show that great photography is not always reliant on the skills of post processing but more often in the skill of ‘seeing’ an image in the first place.

Just a quick note to express our thanks for your most entertaining, informative and stimulating presentation last night.  You certainly have an extraordinary collection of images that have been achieved through careful planning, patience and the odd bit of luck here and there.

We appreciated your images greatly and the care you had taken in arranging them in an interesting and flowing narrative. Your version of street photography was one the members could relate to. I think few are going to have the confidence to stick a camera in someone’s face and being an invisible observer of that 'one specific moment everything comes together' is much more appealing.

Thank you for your excellent presentation on Street Photography to our club members.  You clearly have a passion for this type of photography, gave us some wonderful techniques backed up by excellent photographs. In fact I have already made two trips to Bath trying to take some decent street photographs.

I particularly enjoyed the presentation as I enjoy candid’s and we don't see many speakers showing those.  In addition your photographic approach and style was different which made it even more interesting.  Of course there was a set of very good quality images.

I would like to express our appreciation of your lecture on Monday evening.  Although predominately in colour I do not believe that any of our members could have gone away less than impressed by the quality of your images.  What particularly impressed me was your ability to see potential photographs and then have the patience to wait for all the necessary components to come together.

A stimulating evening Peter, extremely well presented, and excellent that you also shared the tactics of how you captured the shot, something that I know club members always enjoy receiving.
